Girard Perregaux: Girard-Perregaux 1957 tribute to Gyromatic

This was a 2016 limited edition that didn't really have much of a connection to the original. But it is thin and elegant and especially in person both the champagne dial and the mirror polished / brushed case are gorgeous. I don't know if it is really a tribute, but I love the vintage look.

Patek Philippe: Dear Patrick - tourbillions not visible from the dial side is no longer the case.

See 5303R-001. There was some explanation about this being possible because of new crystals allowing for UV protection but I am sure it is a commercial decision. I am sure Patek can build a thin automatic tourbillion even if they don't have one in the catalog. It will be a bold and unexpected move f
