...UN can stay creative and innovative, and that Kering provides mainly financial resources for UN's expansion as UN sees fit on its own. Keeping my fingers crossed!!

a move that Rolf would have made. I am concerned about UN's independence as well. They lead by daring to push the envelope. Would a parent company with shareholders and other interests been brave enough to support the development of so many unique pieces ...

...hope that would carries on the tradition... both GP and UN are strong in high-end pieces but weak in marketing, especially entry models.

see it as you want but its a sad news:to survive today you need to be owned by a huge monster whose objective is just to make more bucks. Not that making money is not important ,mind you,but if brands like Ulysse Nardin(and other will follow if they want ... 

We should not jump on conclusions prematurely ...

At first, I think that Kering is not a typical group focussed on profit alone. It is directed by a family holding, not by a group of anonymous shareholders. During its history, it has shown that sustainability is more important than bare quarter figures. ...

UN is most probably in good hands. I look at GP and I don't see them rushing madly to make money at the expense of innovation. Supporting that quirky Seahawk line with additional variants, for example, leads me to think their management has a bit of indep...
