Ulysse Nardin Sonata in Trieste.

Aug 17, 2014,12:45 PM

There are some mornings which are better than others...

This one was really excellent. The decourm + the watch...

Curiously, I noticed that taking a good wristshot

The Cotes De Genève don't come out easily, compared to a static shot taken with the Borat Patent Pending System.  wink

Anyway, the Sonata is a dream to live with.

Best,

Nicolas

Travel watches are my fav complication watches, along with Alarms. This Sonata is the only one to have both. Brilliant! Best, Damjan, and thanks for looking! Nicolas.

I'm looking

Noticeably these two: - Blancpain Réveil GMT - Bréguet Réveil du Tsar (Both these use the same caliber, btw). Trieste is one of my favorite cities. One of the best places where to feel nostalgy for the Austro Hungarian Empire. I hope you are staying at th...

Master Compressor Extreme World Alarm also

comes to mind. As much as I love it, I'd take the Sonata any day.

The EWA has something the Sonata doesn't have... The World Time, indeed.

For the rest, the Sonata is Superior, in my book. And I am the JLC moderator... :) Best, Nicolas

I can't imagine any alarm that's better than the chime of the Sonata.

And then there are all the Sonata's other charms....

Yes, my friend, yes. Did you ever play with one?

 By: amanico : August 19th, 2014-22:39
This is a very dangerous moment... Keep your wallet at good diatance, as the Sonata has a big flaw: It is a wallet magnet. :) Best, Nicolas

Yes, but the Sonata has something more...

 By: amanico : August 19th, 2014-08:25
The Alarm count down, an alarm iwhich can be set on 24 hours, and which sounds like a minute repeater + a grande date. That makes a lot of extra features, which makes all the specificity of the Sonata. As for Trieste, well, I am Lucky to have my fathers i...

Even if the BPPS will better capture that awesome UN detail. The watch seems to fit well w/ that locale, no doubt about it.
