I usually travel with my GMT +/- - SS on a bracelet with a goofy yellow dial. A San Marco series watch. Sturdy, reliable, best dual time and comfortable and durable. Funny factoid about the watch and Venice. Rarely does anyone comment on my watch but when...

Venice is lovely as is The Freak. This watch would not be my choice for travel--especially with the crowds one encounters there. In view of encroachment from the sea, a submariner or other diving watch may be necessary soon! tempusfugit

Of course not a logical choice, but an aesthetical one.

When I had the Langematik Anniversary, I loved to wear it in Venice... A nice Watch in a nice place, this is something very magic. But naturally, a Submariner or, if we think Ulysse Nardin, a Marine Chronometer, shoud be a more natura choice! All the best...
