I want to see the new Manufacture in person.

I think the thin structural hands fit the new dial, whereas the sensual Sonata hands fit perfectly on the one you used to have.

I would enjoy owning either version, to be truthful.  The Manufacture model has a bit "smarter" look about it, but previous version was perhaps more fun on the wrist.

Thanks for the refresher on these!

Ulysse Nardin Perpetual Calendar, how do you like it?

 By: amanico : November 15th, 2014-06:24
Sporty? Aqua Perpetual: Macho? El Toro: Classic? A tad more modern? A tad wiser? Perpetual Manufacture: Let's keep in mind that all these perpetual calendars are ALSO GMT, at the exception of the Aqua Perpetual which doesn't have the GMT, and that all of ...

I would like to have also the moon phase.

The added complication would make many of UN perpetuals really attractive. Best, Kari

My pick would be "Classic".....

...anyone of them are wonderful, nonetheless. Thanks for reminding us of this great creation. Ken

I had the one with the Sonata hands and case.

If I had to get one, the classic would be my choice, though. What drove me to let it go was this similarity between the PC and the Sonata. Best, my friend. Nicolas

Preference for the classic

Just nice for daily use as it doesn't advertise itself...only the owner knows of the complication that lies beneath. IMO, UN and GO has the most functional and quiet QP's (Moser taking the prize for the most inconspicuous)

I would have to choose the classic as well. I have enjoyed mine for over 12 years.

I still think that the scalloped bezel is the best as despite all the years of wear, it has not attracted a scratch or ding. The flatter bezel can be a scratch magnet. The GMT function continues to be the most user friendly. Functional, attractive, clean ...

Yes, I agree with you. The Classic has something which really appeals to me.

I wouldn't have th Sonata, well, my choice would be different.... Best, my friend. Nicolas

You missed one

What about the one which started it all: Perpetual Ludwig. Unfashionably small perhaps, but classic and beautifully balanced. For me it would be a toss between Perpetual Ludwig and the Classic Mark

Bravo, Mark. I have no pics of it, but it was worth mentionning ...

This important one! Best, Nicolas

While the last 3 are easy to love...

I think the El Toro lends itself to aesthetic exploration. It's intriguing how they came up with such a design. It's easy enough to overlook/pass over when shown beside more classical offerings. I can imagine wearing it with tshirt, jeans, and sneakers. A...

Honestly, the El Toro is not my first choice.

In the real, better than on pictures, but, though, not MY taste. Daring, audacious, yojng, dynamic, macho, for sure, but I am on to smoother designs, here. I already have the Freak and the Sonata, for the daring aesthetics. ;) Best, my dear Echi. Nicolas

The case of the " Manufacture " is to die for.

I think I prefer it to the case of the one I owned. Best, Michael, and thanks for your feedback. Nicolas

El Toro (because its beautiful blue dial and strap are perfectly matched by the gold numerals and lugs - just sublime !!) and Aqua Perpetual (the overall dial and color scheme look great) Thanks for posting this interesting topic!! Cheers, Gordon

My choices in order: Sonata Hands, Manufacture, El Toro.

I just love the sonata hands, I think they work great on this, and that would be my number one. The manufacture is extremely clean and elegant. I love the monochromatic design, with the only other color being the hands. And the El Toro is definitely cool,...

Classic for me...

What can I say? Superb! [nt]
