With a tradition going back to 1846, Ulysse Nardin nearly became a victim of the Swiss watch industry's large crisis in the 80s. Saved from bankruptcy by the businessman Rolf Schnyder, the company began its steep rise straight into the zenith of modern horology.
Today, Ulysse Nardin is dedicated to innovation: No other watch company has filed so many patents with so few employees. Success is the just reward, with company rolls now at over 100 employees and growing! Besides innovation, however, Ulysse Nardin does not stop presenting us classical watchmaking craftsmanship at the highest levels.
This forum should serve for the discussion of Ulysse Nardin's history, present and future, and for the exchange of information at a level worthy to the PuristS' principles of quality.
Other principles of our community are politeness, objectivity, and the lack of commercial interests. Therefore we ask for your understanding that all price, service, and dealer discussions should be done by private e-mail, not here in the forum.

May 08/12 - 11:01 >> Recently I had a chance to view a 25 piece micro edition Diver called the Azure. Black DLC with blue indicies and hand fill. Very nice in person, if you like the shade of blue. Apr 23/12 - 02:20 >> Besides the Classico "General Raevsky" shown in the Baselworld 2012 report, and executed in fine miniature enamel painting, there are three other new enamel dial watches, that have been released in late 2011 and now in 2012: The first is showing a stunningly birlliant Thai dragon boat, executed not ...
Apr 22/12 - 11:53 >> Since Bar 2020's post about his new Blue Surf, I thought it time to try a new place for fun photography. Where better than the beach on Easter Saturday...we were blessed with a classic So. Cal. spring day, beautifully warm and so down to the beach we went with surf board, boogie boards, towels and e...
Apr 12/12 - 02:39 >> I have an old WWII era UN Ship's Chronometer that I believe wasn't deployed given it's overall condition and the paperwork that accompanied it. From the attached USN Ship's Chronometer Record, I have a few questions someone may be able to answer: 1. Given the serial number and date on the Navy paper...
Apr 11/12 - 08:20 >> As I mentioned in another forum, I've mostly been a lurker with a few questions here and there. Thank you to the moderators on this forum for their help and patience. I first saw UN on the back cover of a sports car magazine. It was a black/rose gold UN Diver with the wave pattern on the dial. I tho...
Apr 03/12 - 14:53 >> 2012 - for Ulysse Nardin this is the first Basel fair without its energetic and charismatic leader Rolf Schnyder, who had passed away so suddenly in April 2011. As a consequence, many were uncertain about the company’s new course, some even predicted a decrease of impetus and innovation. Gladl...
Mar 30/12 - 06:33 >> Hi All, Well its now 2012 and after a couple of months wait, my new baby 'Devil' was delivered to me last week in Geneva... so I thought I would share a few photos of it. Mar 25/12 - 19:51 >> Ever kept a watch for over 10 years? And noticed that it does not form a terrible aged patina? And that it retained its pedigree and nothing even remotely resembled it even after 10 years? Yes...rarely. Happy Birthday FREAK!!!! Don't forget to google "bernard cheong" freak...chuckles! Sounds totally...
