"In the flesh". Novelties '06, pt. 2: Surf's up!

By: Marcus Hanke (registered) Tuesday, April 3rd, 2007

The Maxi Marine Diver "Blue Surf" is a limited model, following the "Blue Wave", which is sold out. Unlike the "Blue Wave", the "Blue Surf" is based on the case of the Maxi Marine Diver. Eh, did I already say that the watch is blue??

Once again, there is an attractive dial structure showing a breaking wave, different from the dial of the "Blue Wave". So here, there is more wind in the watch, since the waves of the "Blue Wave" were not so moved... The hourmarker at 12 has also been replaced with a nice breaking wave, steel for the steel-cased variant, gold for the gold cases.

Since the "Blue Max" and the foundation of the "blue movement" movement, movements moving the blue watches are blue (now repeat this sentence ten times, very fast!!!). Of course, also the "Blue Surf" has this blue galvanized movement. While the pink gold version has a massive 22k pink gold rotor, I personally prefer the movement of the steel version, where the rotor is also blue.

The watches are complemented with blue rubber straps, gold elements/clasp for the gold version, titanium elements/clasp for the steel version.

Blue Surf 18k pink gold version, limited to 500 pieces.

Blue Surf stainless steel, limited to 1846 pieces.

Best regards,
Marcus
