... escapement parts made from artificially grown diamond!

Didn't we have that already? Remember, the the "Freak Diamond Heart" has escapement wheels made from artificially grown diamond! So why this new announcement?

the reason is that parts made from pure diamond are extremely expensive, their production is far too costly for a large production series. But this new technology gives us artificial diaond that is "grown" on a silicon base. Makes production easier and less costly (well, still expensive enough, I assume ...).
